What You'll Learn
WHO: Dorchester Gun Shop, located in Grand Blanc, proudly serves Michigan and beyond! From firearm sales to training, we offer a personalized experience both on an individual or group basis. This Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals (CCHDF) RENEWAL class, when successfully completed, will allow you to RENEW your Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL).
WHAT: As former military, 2A supporters, and CPL holders since the early 2000's, we have the experience and knowledge to provide the necessary training and information needed to protect yourself from a would-be attacker. We offer group classes on the first Sunday of every month (or the following Sunday after a holiday weekend). Individual classes are available for those that prefer something more private. WHERE: Class and shooting qualification will take place off site in Clarkston, which is approximately 20 minutes south of our store. You will NOT complete any live fire for the renewal CPL Class. We will break for 30 minutes (around noon) to allow everyone to leave and get lunch if they didn't bring their own. You may eat and drink throughout this class.
WHEN: Group classes are scheduled on the first Sunday of every month. Classes will not be held on holiday weekends, but will be held the following week. Class size is limited to 24 students. Individual classes are offered as well for an additional charge.
CPL RENEWAL INFORMATION ONLY: If you are looking to get your 3-4 hours of classroom review in order to renew your existing CPL for the state of Michigan, you may attend this class from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. YOU MUST HAVE A CURRENT MICHIGAN CPL - OR ONE THAT HAS BEEN EXPIRED FOR NO LONGER THAN 12 MONTHS IN ORDER TO TAKE OUR RENEWAL COURSE!
If your CPL has been expired for longer than 12 months, you MUST take the 1-Day, 8-Hour Concealed Carry Class and reapply as a new application. This is the new law followed by the Michigan State Police.

No more than one cancellation or no show is allowed and class must be taken within one year of purchase. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ONCE A SEAT HAS BEEN PAID FOR AND RESERVED, OR, AFTER SECOND CLASS CANCELLATION OR NO-SHOW. AFTER A SECOND CANCELLATION OR NO-SHOW, YOU WILL HAVE TO RESCHEDULE AND PAY FOR ANOTHER CLASS AND EACH CANCELLATION/NO-SHOW IS REVIEWED ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS FOR CONSIDERATION TO BE RESCHEDULED. A number of basic and advanced skills designed to take your skill level beyond the building blocks introduced in Lesson Three, and dramatically elevate your speed, accuracy, and enjoyment at the range.

Firearms and ammunition are to be secured in your vehicle until the live fire portion of the course at the range. You will get an email the Monday prior to class with information and further details.
