The LTC-036 Massachusetts Firearms Safety Training "License to Carry" permit course is a comprehensive, beginner-friendly firearms safety program designed for new and experienced gun owners alike. Taught by Massachusetts State Police Certified Basic Firearms Safety Instructors, the course goes beyond the minimum state requirements by combining hands-on instruction, live-fire training, and personalized coaching in a safe, welcoming environment.
Students receive practical training in safe firearm handling, loading and unloading procedures, ammunition basics, safe storage, transportation laws, range etiquette, and the operation of both revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Unlike many classroom-only programs, this course includes supervised live-fire experience to help students build real confidence and safe handling skills.
Small class sizes and low instructor-to-student ratios allow for individualized attention, making the course especially well-suited for beginners, first-time gun owners, and those seeking a more supportive learning experience. Upon completion, students receive the Massachusetts Basic Firearms Safety Certificate required for LTC applications.
Cost of the course includes a textbook, use of firearms, ammunition, safetl pamphelts and materails and more. Free beverages and snacks provided.

Please notify us as soon as you know you will not be attending the class. 48 hour notice required for full refund. Cancellation within 48 hours will be rescheduled. INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION COURSE: Non-refundable, due to the limited seating, schedule and required e-Learning prerequisite, the USCCA Instructor Certification can only be rescheduled to a later class.

What's included in the cost of the class? Classroom instruction, Safety Materials, Snacks and Beverage. Range Live-fire in includes use of firearms, ammunition, targets and eye & ear protection. Where are we located? We are located in Salem, NH, within minutes of Haverhill, Methuen, Lawrence and Lowell MA. We are minutes away from Route 93, on Broadway. What is the classroom like? Our classes are conducted in a private modern firearms training classroom. The classroom is heated/air-conditioned, with dedicated restrooms. Will you shoot real fire, with real ammunition? Yes, your class includes actual live-fire training on the range with 22LR and 9mm handguns. You will get to shoot approx. 75 rounds during your live-fire training. No simulator or airsoft guns, you will be shooting "real" guns. Are we experienced instructors? Yes, we are very experienced, instructing over a thousand first time and beginner shooters, as well advanced level students. What if you have a question(s)?
