What You'll Learn

THIS IS A NON-SHOOTING CLASS (NO LIVE FIRE)

This course meets the requirements for obtaining a Massachusetts License to Carry (LTC) Gun Permit. This course is required for a Massachusetts License to Carry Application.

Classroom is located in Salem, NH, near the Massachusetts border. We are minutes away from Methuen, Lawrence, Lowell and Haverhill.

Course includes all training materials, a certificate of completion, snacks and beverages.

The course meets the new requirements of Massachusetts and its firearm regulations under Chapter 135. 

The course subjects include:

  • Basic Safety Rules: The primary rules for safe gun handling, as well as general muzzle and trigger discipline.
  • Firearm Mechanics: How to identify and properly operate the mechanisms of various pistols, revolvers, rifles, and shotguns.
  • Ammunition & Maintenance: Understanding cartridge components, proper ammunition selection, and safe gun cleaning and maintenance.
  • Loading and Unloading: Practical exercises on how to safely load and unload different types of firearms using dummy/training ammunition.
  • Safe Storage: Guidelines and best practices for securely storing firearms in the home to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Accident Prevention: Exploring the primary causes of firearms accidents to promote an attitude of continuous situational awareness.
  • Firearm Laws: Rules regarding the possession, transportation, and legal use of force.
  • Mental Health & Safety: State-mandated training on suicide awareness, injury prevention, and de-escalation tactics.

Please notify us as soon as you know you will not be attending the class. 48 hour notice required for full refund. Cancellation within 48 hours will be rescheduled. INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION COURSE: Non-refundable, due to the limited seating, schedule and required e-Learning prerequisite, the USCCA Instructor Certification can only be rescheduled to a later class.
