What You'll Learn
This 16-Hour Course includes: Application requirements, Safe Gun Handling Rules, Pistol Parts & Operation, Ammunition knowledge & selection, Cleaning & Maintenance, Holster selection, Firearms Laws, Use of Deadly Force, Mindset, Interactions with law enforcement, and Live Fire Session.
Students who complete the training and meet the course of fire shooting requirement will be able to apply and get approved for a permit to carry a handgun.
Range Locations and times will be given in the digital welcome letter as they are subject to change. The range is the wed night following the class at 6pm at one of two different ranges depending on availability
Cancellation Policy: All sales are final and non-refundable. Students may transfer to another class with proper notification up to 72 hours prior to scheduled class, with the coordination of class instructor. All transfer requests must be done in writing (email).

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
If you do not have your own firearm, contact the instructors after registration. If you currently own and plan to carry a caliber larger than 9mm, you must be able to manage this firearm. Per MD State Police, this is a timed/score based qualification.
