What You'll Learn
Our Handgun Owner Basics Classis designed for everyday people who bought a handgun but still don’t feel confident using it or know how to maintain it. This hands on, beginner friendly session walks you step by step through understanding your firearm and learning to handle it safely and confidently. Each student receives a multi caliber firearm cleaning kit to use in class AND take home.
In this 3 hour course, you’ll learn:
Firearm Knowledge & Handling
Parts and components of your handgun
How your firearm functions
How to load and unload safely
Firearm safety rules you must know
Skill Building
Proper stance, grip, and aim
How to field strip and clean your firearm
How to reassemble it correctly
Tips to keep your gun running reliably
Dry Fire & At Home Practice
Practice dry firing your own handgun
Laser assisted drills to correct trigger pull
How to continue practicing at home safely
What to Bring
Your firearm (unloaded) and in a case for travel
One magazine

*This class gives you the confidence you need to protect yourself and your family by truly understanding the firearm you bought. No pressure, no judgment, just real knowledge and hands on guidance.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund minus processing fees. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
What We'll Teach
Gear and Gadgets
Walk into any gun shop, and the variety of gear and gadgets available can be a bit overwhelming. Gun vaults, holsters, lights, lasers—where do you start? In this lesson, Michael Martin will explain each of those pieces of gear, and he’ll discuss the options you should consider when you’re ready to go shopping.
