My Biography
I am Julio Barreto and I am the instructor for the Maryland Concealed Carry class referenced in Jennifer’s email. I am the owner of Faith, Family and Firearms (FFF) Training Institute which is a family business dedicated to educating and training individuals and their families with the information and skills needed to protect themselves and their loved ones.
FFF’s mission is to protect and defend the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, especially the right to bear arms, to train and educate you with the basic information, on laws and regulations that will allow you to wear and carry legally sanctioned tools including firearms to protect yourself and your community.
We operate on three pillars:
Faith: As Christians, we are dedicated to living our lives according to God’s Word as best we can while showing love and respect to our clients and those we come in contact with.
Family: We believe family is the foundation of society and are committed to playing our role in strengthening the family structure by equipping and empowering individuals and their families.
Firearms: We support the Second Amendment and the ability of lawful citizens to own and operate a firearm for sport, recreation and in defense of themselves and loved ones. We believe citizens should be able to use the appropriate use of force to neutralize a threat to themselves and their families.

The NRA Basic Pistol Course is a great way to learn the basics of pistol shooting. This course meets the qualifications for the Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL). The course may also be used to obtain a concealed carry permit in some states. Be sure to contact your county, city, or state to find out whether this course fulfills the requirement. Unless exempt, this 8-hour course with live-fire qualification is required in order to renew your Maryland Handgun Permit. Objectives: Firearm Safety Concealed Carry & Defensive Shooting Fundamentals The Ethical Use of Deadly Force State Laws on Firearms and Self-Defense Permit Renewal Process Live-Fire Range Training & Qualification Upon successful completion of this course, student will receive: 1 – Maryland Handgun Permit Renewal Certificate This course requires the completion of at least two hours range training, including a shooting qualification course of twenty-five rounds of ammunition from a maximum distance of fifteen yards, and receiving a qualifying score of at least 70%.

This class provides attendees with fundamentals of firearms including firearms safety, Maryland laws, mindset, storage and safety rules. This class includes live fire of 200 rounds. Students will qualify for the Handguns Qualification License
