Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL) Course – Fortitude USA

Take the first step toward responsible firearm ownership with Fortitude USA’s Maryland HQL Course. This comprehensive, state-required training is designed to equip you with the knowledge, confidence, and legal understanding needed to safely purchase and own a handgun in Maryland.

Our course goes beyond the minimum requirements. You’ll receive hands-on instruction from certified professionals, covering firearm safety, operation, storage, and Maryland law—along with real-world application tailored to personal and home defense. What You’ll Learn: •Maryland firearm laws and HQL requirements •Safe handling, operation, and maintenance •Ammunition fundamentals •Secure storage • transportation best practices Live-fire qualification (required for HQL submission) What’s Included: Classroom and range instruction Firearm and ammunition provided (if needed, at cost) Live-fire certification Step-by-step guidance for your HQL application Fingerprinting guidance and next steps Why Train with Fortitude USA: Fortitude USA specializes in integrating firearm training with real-world home defense and security strategies. Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded. Any student who is dismissed or sent home due to any policy violation you will be subject to a partial refund subject to the instructors discretion.
