What You'll Learn
This class is two days in a professional classroom and range environment. It is eight hours each day, mandated by the Maryland State Police. The class is a multi state class. That means you will be able to carry in approximately 40 states.
On Range Day you will safely shoot at least 50 rounds of either .22 cal, .380 cal, or 9mm ammunition. I patiently work with each of you to make sure you WILL leave this class prepared to confidently use a handgun.
Important: If you have someone in your household under the age of 20, you may bring them free of charge and have them sit in. If you are going to have a handgun in your home, they need to know safety, the laws, when to shoot, and how to shoot.
The class itself will include: -The Maryland State Police required 16 hour (minimum) course. -Threat Deescalation -Home Defense and home protection -Tourniquet use and application -I will supply the weapons -I will supply the targets and range fees -I will supply the ammunition -I will supply the manual -I will supply the passport photos needed for your permit. -I will go over all of the Maryland laws in detail. -Firearm Basics and Safety -Conflict Avoidance -Concealed Carry -Home Safety -Situational Awareness -Violent Encounters -The aftermath of a shooting -All safety aspects -How to firmly hold the handgun -Gun presentation and aiming -Gun shooting stance -Gear, clothing, and apparel. -How to safely carry -Gun concealment -What you can/can't do if threatened -What to do if pulled over by a Law Enforcement Officer. -Suicide Prevention -First time shooters are no problem and welcomed -I also supply coffee, water, and snacks
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded. The Instructors reserve the right to remove any student from the class due to disruption, or are in violation of safety practices.
