DC SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER (SPO} (UNARMED) ONLINE COURSE

This is an online class.  You will not report to our office or receive a Zoom link Please follow the instructions below. After watching all the above videos, and receiving the certificate for each video, you must call or text us to make an appointment and bring the certificate to our office to receive your sponsorship letter.

Additional training is required for Special Police officers to carry a baton, handcuffs and OC Spray with those additional hours being specified by the certifying organization for the brand that the Special Police officer will be carrying and is NOT included with the 40 hours SPO training.

Special police officer training course is designed for those who are beginner students looking to become Special police officers, familiarize themselves with the uniform and equipment, de-escalation procedures, customer service and interaction with tourists, etc.  Upon completion of this course students will gain the letter needed in order to obtain the District of Columbia Special police officer unarmed license.

You can now take the DC SPO Pre assessment course from the comfort of your own home and on various devices, such as PC, Mac or tablet. The user-friendly course is easy to navigate and can be taken at your pace*. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to download a certificate of completion.
