What You'll Learn
This 1 hour session is a practical, family-focused course designed to teach the fundamentals of recognizing, avoiding, and responding to potential threats in everyday environments. Whether you’re at a restaurant, shopping center, park, sporting event, or simply running errands with your family, this class will help you develop the mindset and skills needed to stay alert without living in fear.
This beginner-friendly class is designed for adults of all experience levels and focuses on prevention, avoidance, and preparedness. By the end of the course, participants will have a better understanding of how to confidently protect themselves and their loved ones through increased awareness and informed decision-making.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
What We'll Teach
Developing a Personal Plan & Home Protection Plan
Developing a personal & home protection plan is a key component of not only preparing for how we should (or might) react if confronted by a violent crime, but also how we might avoid violent crime in the first place. Within this lesson, Michael Martin explains that developing a protection plan is about much more than becoming proficient with a firearm or writing up a home invasion plan. It’s a plan that must encompass awareness, avoidance, and preparation, so that we’re less likely to find ourselves in a situation where we have no other option than to use our firearm, rather than more likely.
