What You'll Learn
Your Illinois Concealed Carry license must be renewed every 5 years. By Illinois law you have to take a 3 hour refresher course and shoot a qualification course.
Our 3 hour renewal course will cover the following topics:
Updates to Illinois or federal firearms laws governing concealed carry in Illinois.
Updates on use of force laws and IL criminal statutes.
Appropriate and lawful interaction with law enforcement while transporting or carrying a concealed firearm.
A live fire qualification:
Using a B-27 silhouette targe
30 rounds
10 rounds from a distance of 15 feet
10 rounds from a distance of 21 feet
10 rounds from a distance of 30 feet
70% score to pass (21 hits).
NOTE: All firearms for this class must be cased when entering the store. Firearms will not be allowed to be drawn from a holster.
Requirements:
A firearm intended for concealed carry. We have firearms for rent if needed, our ammunition must be used in rental firearms.
Aminimum of 30 rounds of ammunition for the firearm you intend to use in the class. If you believe you may not pass the qualification on the first attempt, bring more ammunition.
At least two magazines for the firearm you intend to shoot.
If your firearm is a revolver please bring at least one speed loader or speed strip.
We will not allow single action revolver use for the renewal class.
