Terrance Foster

TTerrance “Ruckus” Foster is a respected community leader in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood who is deeply involved with his local church and several community organizations. Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Terrance is a country boy at heart with a passion for the outdoors, family, faith, and community impact. Terrance has been married for more than 20 years and is a proud father of four, raising his children in the inner city of Chicago. In his free time, he enjoys four-wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and spending time at the range with family and friends. His love for firearms and the outdoors started at a young age, when he went hunting with his Paw Paw and uncles. Since then, he has developed a lifelong respect for firearm ownership, safety, and responsibility. Terrance has legally owned firearms and held an Illinois FOID card since the age of 18. He is passionate about teaching safe gun handling, self-defense, hunting, and fishing to youth and young adults in inner-city communities. Terrance believes strongly that young people need positive outlets, practical life skills, and strong guidance. His mission is to help youth learn to value and respect life through firearm safety education, outdoor sports, and mentorship. He believes these efforts can play a real role in reducing violence and creating healthier communities. As Terrance often says, “We need to grab our young people and teach them before the streets teach them.” He also believes it is time for communities to move beyond simply saying guns are bad and instead begin teaching gun safety, personal responsibility, and self-defense fundamentals in a lawful and structured way.
