What You'll Learn

The CCSA 3 hour Illinois Renewal Concealed Carry Class satisfies the state training requirement to apply to renew your IL CCL. This class covers state and federal laws as they relate to ownership, storage, transportation, carry of firearms.

We will review:

  • The FOID Act
  • Any updates to the current IL statutes
  • Lawful and unlawful use of firearms
  • Legal use of force to defend your person or others
  • Use of force to defend property
  • A refresher on where you can carry and prohibited areas you cannot carry firearms
  • Instruction on the appropriate and lawful interaction with law enforcement while transporting or carrying a concealed firearm.
  • Legal definitions

Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.

This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.

The range we use is 5 Star Firearms in Zion, on Sheridan Rd just north of Route 173. Please make sure you bring your FOID Card & Drivers License, along with eye & ear protection for qualifying.
