What You'll Learn
This class includes the online prerequisite class (normally $147), the book (normally $35), and the live-fire class.
You must finish the online prerequisite class (3-6 hours) before the live-fire portion.
Cancellation Policy: * Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the scheduled class start time may choose between a full refund or a transfer of the class fee to a future scheduled class within one calendar year at no cost pending availability. * Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the scheduled class start time may transfer the class fee to a future scheduled class within one calendar year at no cost pending availability but will not be eligible for a refund. * Any no show with no call will result in no refund. A transfer of the class fee to a future scheduled class will be at the discretion of the Instructor. * All class fees collected where the class was not attended by the payee will be forfeited after 365 days of the originally scheduled class. * In cases where the student failed to comply with the course requirements, there will be no refunds. * In cases where the class has been attended, there will be no refunds.
What We'll Teach
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals - Level 1
Over 1 million students have taken the U.S. Concealed Carry Association’s course offerings across the nation. The Defensive Shooting Fundamentals class can be taken by anyone of any skill level. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced shooter, you will walk away from this course a better protector of yourself and your loved ones.
You will learn the concept of balancing speed and precision to begin the course, understanding your individual limits, the importance of accurate hits to target, and ability to quickly engage with a target.
Other drills may include:
- How to present from the holster
- How to perform an emergency reload
- Lateral movement

Purchasing a gun is part of the self-defense journey, but knowing how to safely and effectively use it is even more important. Education and training are critical methods to ensure students will be ready if they’re forced to use their firearms to defend themselves and their loved ones.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Please Note: You will need a holster that allows you to holster your firearm one-handed. Holsters that collapse and require two hands to holster are not acceptable. if you show up for the course without meeting this requirement, you will not be allowed to participate. NO Exceptions will be made and No refunds will be given!
