Taktikor Range Training – 6-Hour Live-Fire Course This intensive 6-hour course is conducted entirely at the range, blending a brief on-site classroom-style review with extensive practical live-fire training. On-Range Classroom Review (approximately 1 hour): We will review and discuss key concepts from Chapter 2 (Self-Defense Firearms Basics) and Chapter 3 (Shooting Fundamentals) of the USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals book. This will be presented using a laptop and PowerPoint slideshow, with participants seated in chairs at the range facility to reinforce essential principles. Books are available for purchase at $35 each. Live-Fire Training: The session begins with a thorough review of range safety rules and range commands. Participants will cover a variety of foundational and advanced topics, including: • Firearms Basics and Advanced Techniques • Pistol Training • Movement while shooting • Unsighted and sighted fire • Concealed draw and presentation • Field stripping • Magazine changes • Various skill-building drills • Rifle Training • Zeroing the rifle • Target drills • Steel target drills at distance • Shooting from barrier positions • Movement • Field stripping USCCA Level 3 Range Qualification Option: For those interested, we will incorporate the official USCCA Level 3 Qualification drill (Defensive Shooting – Speed and Precision) as part of the training. This pistol-focused qualification includes timed speed drills (at 3, 5, and 7 yards) requiring 100% hits in the 8-inch center chest area, along with precision exercises. Successful completion (typically requiring a certified instructor-led 6-hour live-fire class) qualifies you for the USCCA Protector Academy Level 3 credential (requirements vary by membership level).
