What You'll Learn
This course exceeds the requirements of Idaho Code 18-3302K, qualifying you to apply for an Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Weapons Permit. You will spend half the day in the classroom with your USCCA certified instructor(s) learning the topics required for completion of the course. Interactive participation and discussion is encouraged! You will spend the second half of the day on an outdoor live-fire range with your USCCA certified instructor(s). The shooting portion will greatly exceed the requirements of this course. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a USCCA Certificate of Completion necessary for obtaining the Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the scheduled class start time may choose between a full refund or a transfer of the class fee to a future scheduled class within one calendar year at no cost pending availability. * Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the scheduled class start time may transfer the class fee to a future scheduled class within one calendar year at no cost pending availability but will not be eligible for a refund. * Any no show with no call will result in no refund. A transfer of the class fee to a future scheduled class will be at the discretion of the Instructor. * All class fees collected where the class was not attended by the payee will be forfeited after 365 days of the originally scheduled class. * In cases where the student failed to comply with the course requirements, there will be no refunds. * In cases where the class has been attended, there will be no refunds.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Please bring at least 150 rounds of ammunition. There is a range fee of $25 if you are not a member at Hurtig Shooting Center. This is not a course for first time shooters.
