Additional Notes from Your Instructor
**NOT a BASIC Course.** Must have had formal Basic Pistol class. Please call or text if you aren't sure. Hunter Ed is not a Basic Pistol Course. In Person/Hands On training within the last 5 years. Please text or email proof of training before registering. **Proficiency Test uses an IDPA/USPSA (soda box) size target. Hits in the outer ring of body won't be counted. Complete miss will be a failed attempt, 3 attempts per session. Min 80% to Pass. Distances from 3yds to 15yds. One Handed Shooting Left and Right. We will NOT be kneeling. Safety infractions will results in a Fail, another retest day must be booked and paid for. I will not sign the Proficiency Test if you get 2 (Two) warnings for finger on the trigger or in the trigger guard when it shouldn't be; ie barrel level to the ground, downrange with the intent to shoot. I keep seeing this habit in class, even when people swear they don't have bad habits. It's rule #2 for the NRA and #3 in the Universal rules for safe gun handling, PERIOD. If you fall in this category, I am not sorry, I will not sign my name saying you are safe and proficient, regardless of how well you shoot. **Minimum of 4 persons to run course. May be rescheduled to later date if not enough sign up 1 week out.** ***Participation in this course does NOT guarantee you will receive a Certificate of Completion OR a signed Proficiency Test . I reserve the right to refuse services to anyone.***
