What You'll Learn
Basic Pistol Course will meet HPD requirement to apply for a handgun, rifle, or shotgun in Hawaii, even with the new law. 1 on 1 range time means you get personalized training tailored for each individual. Learn firearm safety and efficient use. Not just for beginners. I provide several different pistols and all ammunition. You will start with a small caliber to learn the fundamentals and gain confidence in yourself. You'll then be able to try different makes and models in a variety of calibers including 38 Special, 9mm, .40 Cal, .45 ACP, and .357 Magnum.
Cancellation Policy: You should inform us as soon as you can if you think you are unable to attend a course. – If a cancellation is done 11 days or more, prior to the class, receive a full refund on your original form of payment or training credits which are valid for 1 year, to book another class or reschedule. – If a cancellation is done within 10 - 5 days, prior to the class, a refund will be made minus $50. You may transfer credit to reschedule. – If a cancellation is done within 4 - 2 days, prior to class, a 50% refund will be made. You may transfer credit to reschedule. – Cancellations 48 hrs or less or a No Show, will not be refunded or rescheduled. In the very unusual event that we have to cancel a course, we will offer you the choice of a full refund or reschedule to another course date. We will try to give you at least 1 week’s notice but sometimes (for example when a course is canceled due to bad weather) this is not possible.
What We'll Teach
Self-Defense Firearms Basics
This lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform, where Michael Martin provides easy to understand explanations of the common terms used so frequently. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Class portion is usually a Friday evening 5-9pm and the range portion the following day starting from 8am. Build a solid foundation to start your journey into the world of handguns. Or, correct bad habits you may already have and aren't aware of. *Minimum of 4 persons to hold course. May be rescheduled to a later date if not enough interest* **Electronic hearing protection is highly recommended.** ***Participation in this course does NOT guarantee I will issue a signed Affidavit of Completion. I reserve the right to refuse services to anyone.***
