"Donnell Crear of Caliber Shooting Solutions delivered an outstanding instructional experience in the USCCA Basic Handgun Safety and Fundamentals course. His teaching methodology was highly efficient, seamlessly delivering all essential core concepts while optimally prioritizing extensive live-fire range time and practical skills development. The course started with an excellent classroom segment and my first time in a formal firearms instructional environment. Donnell provided a comprehensive overview of modern handgun technology, which proved invaluable for evaluating and choosing the ideal firearm tailored to individual student needs. Furthermore, he enriched the curriculum by sharing in-depth, practical insights drawn from his extensive years of competitive shooting and everyday concealed carry experience. Through this comprehensive guide to firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, we efficiently covered the complete USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals curriculum. Donnell masterfully guided us through the vital components of developing a personal and home protection plan, understanding the legal use of force, and navigating the physiological reactions to violent encounters and the aftermath. We also gained practical clarity on essential gear and gadgets, including proper storage and holster selection, alongside critical rules for gun safety and range etiquette. Prior to the course, my experience was limited to having only loaded and fired a few rounds. Through Donnell's structured guidance across these basic and advanced shooting fundamentals, I progressed to feeling entirely comfortable, secure, and confident in my ability to safely handle, operate, and discharge a firearm. Donnell’s exceptional professionalism created an environment where I gained immense value, leaving the class feeling fully prepared to act as a reliable line of defense for my household. For anyone seeking elite, structured firearm safety training that maximizes hands-on proficiency, Donnell Crear comes highly recommended. "
