What You'll Learn
In Rifle I students will further demonstrate the five universal firearm safety rules. We discuss left and right hand shooting options. Students will be taught proper hand grip and hand placement on their weapon as well as the proper stance when firing a weapon. Many of today’s firearms have updated and improved safety mechanisms, we will show students how to operate and understand them along with how to properly lock the bolt and clear the firearm. Students will understand how to establish a target through the sights on their firearm through various dry fire drills before performing with live fire as well as learning the importance and how to zero in a rifle. Students will learn about the establishment of the work space, perform magazine drills, and also clear malfunctions. We will then have students perform various shooting drills on targets to ensure knowledge transfer and assist students with shot grouping and other errors observed by the instructors.
