What You'll Learn
This advanced course teaches you the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for the protection of self and family. You will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home protection, responding to a violent confrontation, and the use of firearms within the law. It provides useful information on the law-abiding individual's right to self-defense.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to reschedule at least 48 hours in advance of a class date. Classes rescheduled less than 48 hours before the class will forfeit class fees and be required to enroll in a new class. In the event that we cancel the class students my choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
What We'll Teach
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
This lesson will continue with the basics, including a very visual overview of what we call the “building blocks” or the fundamentals for accurate and safe shooting. Within this lesson, Michael Martin will explain the differences between the skills required for being a good “marksman” at the range, and the skills that might be required to save your life if you are ever the subject of a violent attack.

THIS CLASS RUNS RAIN OR SHINE! Students must be experienced shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a good group, drawing from a concealed holster, firing from cover, and on the move to maximize a shooter's ability to defend themselves and their family. **IF IN THE CLASS YOU ARE NOT PROFICIENT AT DRAWING FROM YOUR HOLSTER OR THE FUNDAMENTALS OF SHOOTING WE WILL ASK YOU TO LEAVE AND APPLY YOUR MONEY TO A FUNDAMENTALS CLASS. INSTRUCTORS WILL HAVE THE FINAL DECISION!**
