What You'll Learn
This course is perfect for first-time gun owners or those with little to no experience with firearms who want to carry legally and confidently. Unlike traditional group classes, the classroom portion is conducted one-on-one over Zoom at a time that works for you. You'll learn the basics of firearm safety, Florida self-defense and CCW laws, and what to do after a defensive incident. We take the time to make sure you understand every concept and can ask all your questions in a comfortable setting.
The range session is held at The Gun Shop indoor range in Leesburg and runs for approximately 2 hours. You’ll learn proper stance, grip, and fundamentals of accurate shooting with hands-on instruction designed specifically for beginners. This supportive, step-by-step environment builds the confidence and skills you need to safely carry a firearm. Upon completion, you'll receive the Florida CCW training certificate, allowing you to apply for your FL CCW valid in 37 states.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund or we can reschedule to another date. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded. This does not apply to free classes.
What We'll Teach
Self-Defense Firearms Basics
This lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform, where Michael Martin provides easy to understand explanations of the common terms used so frequently. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Upon completion of the ZOOM class and 2-hour range, you will receive a certificate of completion to obtain your CCW license. Online portion of the training must be complete prior to
