What You'll Learn
This comprehensive, in-person course fulfills all education requirements for the Florida Concealed Weapon and Firearm License (CWFL), which now permits both concealed and open carry of a firearm for license holders in the state.
Upon successful completion of the class, you will receive the required certificate. You can then apply for your CWFL at the Brevard County Tax Collector’s Office or the Florida Department of Agriculture Office, with your license typically arriving by mail in about two weeks.
What does this class include? Our training goes beyond the minimum requirements to prepare you for responsible firearm ownership and carry. The course consists of detailed in-classroom instruction followed by essential live fire training at the range.

Basic Handgun Safety and Operation
Practical Considerations for Concealed and Open Carry (including gear, best practices, and situational awareness)
The Lawful Use of Force (a detailed overview of Florida statutes)
Florida Concealed Carry and NEW Open Carry Statutes
Course Modules: A. SELF-DEFENSE FIREARM BASICS B. DEFENSIVE SHOOTING FUNDAMENTALS C. THE LEGAL USE OF FORCE D. VIOLENT ENCOUNTERS AND THEIR AFTERMATH E. CARRY GEAR, GADGETS, AND OPEN CARRY CONSIDERATIONS F. LIVE FIRE QUALIFICATION AT THE RANGE
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
