Concealed Carry & Defensive Pistol Course

Train for the real world. Not just the range.

Carrying a concealed firearm is one thing. Being prepared to responsibly carry, protect yourself, and make sound decisions under pressure is another.

Gray Man: Citizen Ops is an advanced, five-session training experience exclusively for HTK Level One graduates who are ready to take their skills beyond traditional range training.

Building on the fundamentals established in HTK Level One, this course focuses on the practical realities of everyday concealed carry, situational awareness, personal defense, and responsible decision-making.

What You’ll Learn

• Concealed Carry Fundamentals: Holster selection, carry positions, clothing considerations, and everyday equipment.
• Situational Awareness: Cooper’s color codes, threat recognition, avoidance, and conflict management.
• Defensive Movement: Understanding reaction time, distance, and the importance of moving away from danger.
• Close-Quarters Defense: Controlled hand fighting, grappling, weapon retention, and disengagement.
• Defensive Firearm Skills: Review of established HTK fundamentals, safe handling, and malfunction management.
• Edged-Weapon Awareness: Familiarization with training knives and their role in weapon-retention scenarios.
• Physical Conditioning: Boxing, bag work, and partner drills to reinforce fitness and composure.
• Range Application: A final supervised range session to reinforce classroom concepts.

Bonus Module: Truck Gun — PCC & Carbine Fundamentals

As an added component of Gray Man: Citizen Ops, students will receive an introduction to pistol-caliber carbines (PCCs) and traditional carbines, including:

• Carbine familiarization and safe handling.
• Fundamental firearm manipulation and equipment considerations.
• An introduction to carbine-to-pistol transitions under instructor supervision.
• Responsible transportation, secure vehicle storage, and applicable legal considerations.

Students must bring their own PCC or carbine for this module.

Range Day: Sunday, December 6 — Time to be confirmed.

10 hours of classroom training plus approximately 3 hours of range instruction.

Tuition

Early Bird: $349 — Register by October 30.

Regular Tuition: $399

Tuition includes all four classroom sessions and the final supervised range instruction.

Range fees, ammunition, and personal equipment are not included.

Prerequisites & Equipment

This course is exclusively for HTK Level One graduates.

Students must bring their own handgun, PCC or carbine, appropriate holster, belt, ammunition, and required personal protective equipment.

Concealed-carry training is limited to appendix, 3 o’clock, and behind-the-hip carry positions. Off-body carry, including purses and bags, is not covered in this group course and requires private instruction.

Training knives will be provided for the edged-weapon familiarization portion.
