If you carry a firearm in your vehicle, you should know how to fight from it.

Your vehicle is one of the places you spend the most time, yet it’s one of the least trained environments for armed citizens. The confined space, limited mobility, passengers, barriers, and changing threat angles create a completely different problem set than standing on a square range.

Our Counter Carjacking & Vehicle Tactics Course focuses on building the skills necessary to operate effectively inside, around, and out of a vehicle during a violent encounter.

During this course students will learn:

• Proper firearm placement and access while seated in a vehicle • Efficient draw strokes from a seated and belted position • Engagement techniques from inside the vehicle • Exiting the vehicle under threat • Entering or re-entering the vehicle while under pressure • Passenger management and communication • Working with a team moving in and out of a vehicle • Using vehicles for cover vs. concealment • Shooting around and through vehicle barriers • Proper body positioning when fighting from inside the vehicle • Vehicle escape and movement considerations • Legal considerations surrounding the use of force in and around vehicles

This course combines dry work, live-fire exercises, and practical scenario-based training so students gain real understanding of the environment they are most likely to encounter.

By the end of the course, students will have the confidence and skill set to operate safely and effectively inside and outside of a vehicle during a defensive situation.
