What You'll Learn
This class is designed for individuals renewing their Maryland Wear & Carry permit. It covers state-required topics and ensures participants meet the necessary criteria for renewal.
In this class we will discuss all state required topics, including, safe handling, firearm fundamentals, handgun selection, situational awareness, legal use of force, with a comprehensive approach to preparing participants for responsible firearm ownership and use. comprehensive approach to preparing participants for responsible firearm ownership and use. We ensure participants meet the necessary criteria for obtaining their permits and provide the instructions and documentation to apply for said permit/s.
Please note that there is a range qualification as part of the class. The range is outdoors and depending on the weather, if conditions are not ideal, we will reschedule and accommodate the best we can. The range location will be announced in class and is a 10-to-15-minute drive from the class.
Below is a list of items needed for the class. Please note that we do have firearms available for rent, ammunition available to purchase (caliber and quantities are limited) and eye and ear protection available for rent or purchase as well.
Be sure to bring the items below on both days. Depending on the weather or the range we are using, the range portion of the class can vary. We typically go the range on the second day however, that is not always the case.
• Firearm (rentals are available) • Ammunition (50 rounds) – Ammunition is available for sale; however, it is ONLY for range qualification. Please note that if you are renting a firearm from us, we will require you to purchase the ammo from us. Price will depend on caliber. o Maryland only requires 25 rounds for the qualification, however, please bring 50 rounds. If you are adding states, be sure to bring 100 rounds as the range requirements for certain states vary. • Extra magazine (recommended but not necessary) • Eye and ear protection – safety style glasses. We have eye and ear protection if you need to rent ($10 for both - includes electronic ear protection) or $40 to purchase (for both eye and electronic ear protection). • VERY IMPORTANT - Baseball style hat/cap or a hat with a brim • Sunblock (recommended) • Bug spray (recommended) • NO OPEN TOED SHOES • NO V-NECK or LOW-CUT SHIRTS • Bring your own lunch
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 72 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 72 hours before the class will not be refunded.
