This comprehensive class covers all state-required topics, including safe handling, firearm fundamentals, handgun selection, situational awareness, legal use of force, and state-specific laws. Additional states (FL, MD* [two days requirement], NJ, VA, and/or UT) can be added with extra charges.
In this class, we will cover all state-required topics including safe handling, firearm fundamentals, handgun selection, situational awareness, legal use of force, and state-specific laws. Our comprehensive approach ensures participants are prepared for responsible firearm ownership and use. We provide the necessary instructions and documentation to meet the criteria for obtaining firearm permits.
Range Qualification:
The range qualification is part of the class and takes place outdoors. If weather conditions are not ideal, we will reschedule as needed. The range location will be announced during class and is within a 5-to-15-minute drive.
Items Needed for Class: • Firearm (rentals available*) IMPORTANT - If you are bringing your own firearm, please make sure it is clean and well lubricated. • Ammunition (100 rounds) – Available for sale, required to purchase if renting a firearm. NO reloaded ammunition allowed. • Extra magazine (recommended, but not necessary) • Eye and ear protection – Safety glasses (rent for $10 for both, includes electronic ear protection, or purchase for $40 for both) • VERY IMPORTANT: Baseball style hat/cap or a hat with a brim • Sunblock (recommended) • Bug spray (recommended) • NO OPEN-TOED SHOES • NO V-NECK or LOW-CUT SHIRTS • Lunch – Bring your own or be prepared to order (limited nearby options)
*Firearm rental with 50 rounds of ammunition is $50. If an additional 50 rounds are needed or required, that will be an additional $25 (50 rounds). Please note that some states do not require 100 rounds for qualification.

Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 72 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 72 hours before the class will not be refunded.
