What You'll Learn
This course will satisfy the new Colorado laws Bill 24-1174, all students in this course must have a VALID CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT and must present this to the instructor prior to completing this course. All students must complete at least a 2-hour in-person training class that includes discussions on the Use of Force, the use of force continuum, deadly force, castle doctrine, stand your ground (people v toler), recent SCOTUS and Colorado laws in regards of firearms. Students must pass both a written exam (minimum 80% score) and a live-fire exercise 70% (minimum 35 out of the 50 rounds hit). The student may choose to train and fire with either a revolver or pistol.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
The classroom portion will be conducted in the conference room at the La Quinta inn then students will commute to the Republic shooting Range located at 4960 44th Ln, Avondale, CO 81022. The student must also bring $20.00 for the range fee and watch the range’s safety video and sign their waiver located on their website: https://republicshootingrange.com/ The student may choose to train and fire with either a revolver or pistol. Pistols in .40 S&W, 9 MM, and .380 calibers will be available to students who do not have a pistol for a rental fee $45.00 (this includes 1 box of 50 rounds).
