My Biography

I'm Cody, a full-time Police Lieutenant with over two decades of comprehensive experience in law enforcement. Currently, my role involves serving as the Lieutenant over the Community Engagement Bureau, where I supervise the Crisis Response Team, with a strong emphasis on Targeted Violence Prevention. Prior to my career in law enforcement, I served in the United States Coast Guard. During my tenure aboard the USCGC Midgett, stationed in Seattle, WA, I held the positions of Boatswain's Mate of The Watch and Boarding Team Member. Throughout my service, I participated in numerous high-stakes missions, including drug interdiction operations and search and rescue missions, involving the boarding of various vessels.

In addition to my law enforcement duties, I am the voice of the Bearded Monkey Podcast, a platform featured on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, where I engage with listeners on various topics.

Outside of my professional duties, I share my life with my wife, Lasamoa, and am blessed with three wonderful daughters, Mikayla, Ashlynn and our new baby girl, Cooper. Additionally, our household includes an affectionate American Pit Bull Terrier (Dublin), who brings joy and companionship to our family.

From the very beginning, he met me exactly where I was, patiently walked me through every step, and made sure I felt safe, informed, and confident along the way. I honestly did not think I would be able to make it through the class because of my nerves, but Cody made everything feel approachable and manageable.
