What You'll Learn
This comprehensive course is designed for homeowners seeking to enhance their ability to responsibly use a pistol for home defense.
Over this multi-session program, participants will:
Understand Legal Aspects: Learn the legal responsibilities and rights associated with using a firearm in home defense scenarios. Develop a home defense plan and emergency preparedness plan with security recommendations and tips
Master Firearm Safety: Gain essential knowledge and skills in firearm safety, including proper handling, storage, and pistol maintenance.
Develop Shooting Skills: Through practical, hands-on training at our state-of-the-art shooting range, you will develop accuracy and proficiency in shooting.
Improve Decision Making: Enhance your decision-making skills under pressure to ensure you can act judiciously and effectively in real-world situations.

Developing a Personal Plan & Home Protection Plan
Developing a personal & home protection plan is a key component of not only preparing for how we should (or might) react if confronted by a violent crime, but also how we might avoid violent crime in the first place. Within this lesson, Michael Martin explains that developing a protection plan is about much more than becoming proficient with a firearm or writing up a home invasion plan. It’s a plan that must encompass awareness, avoidance, and preparation, so that we’re less likely to find ourselves in a situation where we have no other option than to use our firearm, rather than more likely.
