What You'll Learn
Receive a STOP THE BLEED certification and advanced training on the various types of tourniquets. Learn which tourniquets are best for you and which ones to avoid. Learn the importance of sopping blood loss and how to apply pressure, pack a wound and apply all major types of tourniquets.
Cancellation Policy: We do not give refunds for missed or canceled classes. We will give you full credit for a future class if you notify us 48 hours before the start of class. The credit is non-transferable and must be used within 60 days. Cancelling less than 48 hours in advance of a class will forfeit all credit or reimbursement. By registering for this class, you agree to our cancelation policy.
What We'll Teach
Traumatic Emergencies
Severe traumatic injuries result from forces as everyday as a serious fall or automobile accident, to forces as unthinkable as a shooting or stabbing as the result of an assault or robbery. This lesson will address the assessment and treatment for a number of trauma emergencies including severe bleeding, a penetrating chest injury, flail chest, severe burns, musculoskeletal trauma (injury to the bones, muscles, ligaments or tendons) and trauma to the head and eye.
