What You'll Learn
This course is for women who have already attended a Basic Handgun Course and want to build upon their skills and safely conceal carry.
Guns, holsters, and concealed carry leggings aren’t “one size fits all,” so why would self-defense instruction be any different? The purpose of this training curriculum is to provide a distinctly feminine approach to personal defense, which will help you build confidence in your abilities as a gun owner.
We bring a wide variety of concealed carry holsters, bags, and clothing for you to become familiar with and try on. This is one aspect of the course our past students loved! We have two full tables of gear, you can try items on, discuss the pros and cons, and then narrow down what concealed carry option will work best for you. Ultimately, we want you to find the most comfortable and effective gear and tools for you.
The course includes classroom and range time.
Range time is aimed at readying you to become an effective, defensive shooter with your own firearm. You will leave the course feeling empowered and ready to begin, or continue, your concealed carry journey with confidence.

** This is NOT a beginner class. You must have completed a Basic Handgun course and own your own firearm to attend. We will ask for proof of basic handgun training before attendance.
Classroom time includes firearm safety refresher and advancements, types of ammunition, situational awareness, use of deadly force, and various ways women can safely and comfortably carry a firearm.
This course will dig a little deeper into topics you should know from Women's Handgun Fundamentals or from other training. We'll take a closer look at types of firearms and ammunition, as well as learn about how firearms work.
We'll also cover tips and tactics for selecting handguns and holsters. While this class is not a defensive pistol class, you will be introduced to the right mindset for self-defense, and the drills we use will challenge your skills with the goal of bringing you up to the next level.
All of these topics, discussions, and exercises will help you better understand firearms and safe shooting so you can be more comfortable and confident with your training.

What We'll Teach
Intermediate
In this module, Beth Alcazar expands on the building blocks outlined in Women’s Basic Pistol, with a detailed and visual explanation of the differences, the pros, and the cons of semi-automatics and revolvers; and even how these firearms can malfunction (and the procedures for correcting those malfunctions). Alcazar then introduces the student to holster options for concealed carry, and what every woman (and man) should know about establishing boundaries using the “color codes of awareness.” This lesson is summarized with a number of on and off the range exercises, allowing the student to put these intermediate skills to practice.
