What You'll Learn
Riverside County CCW Renewal 8-Hour 1-day Course
Not all Riverside County CCW classes are created equal. Real CCW training goes beyond minimum qualifications — teaching situational awareness, lawful use of force, and critical decision-making that keeps you and your family safe. One wrong decision can change your life forever. Train to stay prepared, protected, and out of jail.
We are certified as official CCW vendors by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department
This is not a beginner's class. You should be able to handle and manipulate your gun (lock the slide back, fix malfunctions, etc.), and you should be 100% familiar with gun safety. You should arrive able to hit a target out to 15 yards. IF YOU ARE UNSAFE WITH YOUR GUN OR CANNOT PASS THE SHOOTING QUALIFICATION, YOU WILL FAIL.
You have 2 chances to pass your shooting qualification test. We do offer a CCW prep live fire course with practice drills to help improve your grip, trigger press, presentation, and accuracy. These drills will help you pass the shooting quial. Private class or CCW Prep class.
Classes will be held either in Murrieta, California, Classroom only (qualification shooting Randell’s Magnum Range Riverside) or Randell’s Magnum Range Riverside (both classroom and shooting qualification), depending on which date you picked.
Effective January 1, 2026, all renewal applicants must have a renewal application submitted (including their CCW Qualification Certificate) within 90 calendar days of the permit's expiration.
Please start your application with Riverside County Sheriff BEFORE you take our State-mandated course. Start your application here:
To begin the CCW process, you must have the following: • a handgun registered with the CA DOJ in your name (not a spouse) • no felonies, misdemeanor domestics, or psychiatric holds • be 21 years or older • proof you live in the city or county you are applying (ie, DL with current address, utility bill with your name, etc.)
.
Holsters are only used if we are at an outside range; when in an inside range your firearm must be in a locked case unloaded.
When you attend our CCW class you MUST have a holster for each handgun, if we are at a outside range. The holster MUST be for the make and model of your gun. It MUST cover the entire trigger guard completely. It must retain the gun if upside down (this does not necessarily mean a hood or strap). Do not waste your money on a "universal" holster which holds 10-20 different types of guns.
The price of the class includes the certification of one gun. You will be charged an additional $30 for each firearm after the initial.
Your range fees will be $25, payable in cash only on the day of your shooting qualification.
Cost: Renewal - CA mandated 8-hour renewal and shooting $160.00
Be sure of your date: NO REFUNDS Range Fee is not included: $25.00
Cancellation Policy: Be sure of the date you have picked NO REFUNDS.
