What You'll Learn
DESCRIPTION: 2-DAY 16 HR REQUIRED CALIFORNIA CCW COURSE AND SHOOTING QUALIFICATION STARTING JANUARY 2024 The First Step Shooting 2-day enhanced and interactive Los Angeles County/California CCW course features basic pistol and self-defense fundamentals, state and federal law overview, a Stop the Bleed class (taught by an EMT), situational awareness, and a look at mental health, anger management, and firearms. Range fees are included.
The classroom portion takes place at 292 S. La Cienega Blvd. Beverly Hills, CA 90211. The shooting qualification is at LAX FIRING RANGE 927 W Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90301
First Step Shooting is a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Police Department, Hawthorne Police Department, Torrance Police Department, and Santa Monica Police Department approved CCW Training Provider. Upon completion of this class and range qualification, students will receive their certificate of completion and Shooting Proficiency Standards form required to obtain a California CCW license. Certificates for Arizona and Florida are also available for an additional fee of $30.

Policy on Government Regulations: In the event of any changes to government laws, rules, or regulations—including but not limited to changes affecting firearm training, licensing, or eligibility—no refunds will be issued. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they remain compliant with current legal requirements.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
