What You'll Learn
The California CCW Permit Course – Renewal is an 8-hour training program approved by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department and compliant with the California Department of Justice requirements for obtaining a California Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit.
This course provides comprehensive instruction on firearm safety, California CCW laws, use of force, and responsible concealed carry practices. Emphasis is placed on situational awareness, conflict avoidance, and lawful decision-making, ensuring students are prepared to carry safely and responsibly.
Training includes classroom instruction and a live-fire qualification meeting Riverside County standards.
Upon successful completion, students will receive a Certificate of Completion to submit with their CCW application.
Key topics covered: • Firearm safety and handling • California CCW laws and legal responsibilities • Use of force and the “reasonable person” standard • Situational awareness and conflict avoidance • Defensive shooting fundamentals and live-fire qualification
Outcome: Students will demonstrate safe firearm handling, understand California law, and successfully complete the required live-fire qualification to meet Riverside County CCW training standards.
