What We'll Teach

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals

This lesson will continue with the basics, including a very visual overview of what we call the “building blocks” or the fundamentals for accurate and safe shooting. Within this lesson, Michael Martin will explain the differences between the skills required for being a good “marksman” at the range, and the skills that might be required to save your life if you are ever the subject of a violent attack.

Additional Notes from Your Instructor

A Defensive Pistol course focuses on developing the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to effectively and responsibly use a handgun for self-defense. This courses covers firearm safety, defensive shooting fundamentals, drawing from a holster, and handling malfunctions. Also emphasize mental awareness, situational awareness, and the legal aspects of using deadly force.
