What You'll Learn

We offer qualified retired/separated Law Enforcement Officers residing in California the ability to quickly and easily qualify for their LEOSA/HR-218 annual firearms qualification requirements. We offer this service FREE (You have to pay the Range Fee) to our brothers and sisters who served as the protectors of everything we hold dear to us.

Any time we are on the range we will run through a course of fire that will meet the annual requirements outlined in the Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act (LEOSA) of 2004 and Improvements Act of 2010 (18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, 926(b) and (c)) for qualified retired/separated law enforcement officers to carry a concealed firearm in the 50 states and U.S. territories.

We utilize California CCW Certified Instructors, B.S.I.S., and NRA-certified firearms instructors.  Our instructors can qualify retired/separated LEOSA officers using your agency’s qualification course.

Upon successful completion, retired officers will be issued a Weapons Qualification Card as evidence of their annual qualification under 18 U.S.C. 926. When accompanied by a valid LEOSA ID, this will provide the necessary documentation that you have qualified within the last 12 months.

To carry concealed you must qualify at least annually and: (1) met the State's standards for training and qualification to carry a firearm for active law enforcement officers in that state for the same type of weapon as the concealed, (2) qualify using the State's LEOSA firearms qualification course, or (3) if the State has not established law enforcement officer firearms qualification standards the instructor will certify the officer has completed the DoD Component handgun qualification course conducted by a state-certified civilian firearms instructor using the member's privately owned firearm personally procured ammunition.

Required Target: NRA standard B-27 target Minimum total number of rounds to be fired: 72. The course of fire: 24 rounds fired without time limitation at each of the three distances as specified.

Firing distances: 3 yards (9 feet), 5 yards (15 feet), and 7 yards (21 feet). Minimum passing score: 70 percent of rounds fired at each distance (17 of 24 rounds) must score within the 7-ring of the B-27 target.

Other requirements: The student shall be required to safely load, unload, and reload their handgun during the course of fire. This course of fire shall be required for the first firearm the applicant will be licensed to carry.

All subsequent firearm qualification courses of fire shall consist of 20 total rounds (10 rounds at 5 yards and 10 rounds at 7 yards). The passing score will remain 70 percent of hits (7 of 10 rounds) within the 7-ring of the B-27 target at each distance.

Cancellation Policy: You may request to cancel your ticket for a full refund, up to 72 hours before the date and time of the event. Cancellations between 25-72 hours before the event may be transferred to a different date/time of the same class. Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the class date/time may not receive a refund or a transfer. When you register for a class, you agree to these terms.

What We'll Teach

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals

This lesson will continue with the basics, including a very visual overview of what we call the “building blocks” or the fundamentals for accurate and safe shooting. Within this lesson, Michael Martin will explain the differences between the skills required for being a good “marksman” at the range, and the skills that might be required to save your life if you are ever the subject of a violent attack.

"Great range day! Well organized event and on time. The Range Master/Instructors Faris's credentials on training was most impressive. Which encourages me to look for other classes. "
