What You'll Learn
Defensive Rifle: AR15 – Basic Live-Fire Companion is the hands-on, live-fire practical application phase that pairs directly with your Zoom class.
This course is explicitly designed to transition you smoothly from virtual concepts to real-world execution on the firing line. Focused entirely on safety, confidence, and foundational mastery, this workshop provides the essential experience needed to operate your AR-15 effectively for personal protection and home defense.
Under direct instructor guidance, you will apply the core mechanics discussed in class, build defensive muscle memory, and ensure your home-defense carbine is fully prepared to protect you and your loved ones.
What You Will Cover Confirmation of Zero: Putting your sights or optics to the test under real range conditions to ensure true mechanical accuracy.
Safe Operations & Handling: Mastering muzzle discipline, safety operation, and clear space manipulations specific to the AR15 platform.
Home Defense Practical Drills: Engaging in cumulative, reality-based live-fire exercises that replicate fundamental defensive scenarios.
Basic Marksmanship Mechanics: Reinforcing proper body presentation, recoil management, and stable shooting baselines.
Who Is This For? This class is strictly a foundational, beginner-friendly live-fire session. It is designed specifically for new AR15 owners, home defenders, and any student who has completed the prerequisite online Zoom portion and is ready to get their first hands-on experience under the eyes of an instructor.
Required Student Gear Firearm: A reliable AR-15 rifle or defensive carbine.
Sights: A properly zeroed optic or iron sights (you must have a functional baseline zero before arriving).
Sling: A high-quality rifle sling is mandatory for safety and retention drills.
Magazines: Plenty of reliable magazines (at least 3 recommended) to keep your repetitions high.
Ammunition: 200 to 300 rounds of factory-fresh range ammunition.
Safety: Eye and ear protection.
Cancellation Policy: You may request to cancel your ticket for a full refund, up to 72 hours before the date and time of the event. Cancellations between 25-72 hours before the event may be transferred to a different date/time of the same class. Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the class date/time may not receive a refund or a transfer. When you register for a class, you agree to these terms.
What We'll Teach
AR-15 Shooting Basics
Instructor-led range time including safety essentials, confirmation of zero, and use/operation of an AR-15; students will work on drills that incorporate dry-fire and live fire with kinesthetic alignment, mechanical offset (and the application of hold over), along with the balance of speed and precision shooting.
