What You'll Learn
Take charge of your family’s safety with our Personal Protection in the Home course. Designed to build confidence and real-world skills, this class covers:
Safe Firearm Handling: Learn proper storage, handling, and quick-access methods. Defensive Mindset: Develop situational awareness and effective response strategies. Legal Considerations: Understand California laws regarding home defense. Live-Fire Component: Practice drills on the range to apply your skills in realistic scenarios. Under the guidance of certified instructors, you’ll leave with a solid foundation in defensive tactics, a clear understanding of responsible firearm use, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing how to protect what matters most.
Cancellation Policy: No refunds available once signed up. Students are required to cancel at least 7 days in advance of a class date in order to receive credit towards rescheduling or booking a different class. Rescheduled class must be within 60 days of the initial class, otherwise credits are forfeited. Classes cancelled less than 7 days before the class will not be eligible for credit or to reschedule. We have a no refund policy once you have signed up for a class. If classes are canceled by A2 Defense for ANY reason, you will receive a full refund to your original method of payment. If classes are rescheduled, and you cannot accommodate the new schedule at the time of rescheduling, you will receive a full refund. NOTE: Students are required to provide accurate contact information. We contact each student prior to class to ensure they meet the minimum requirements to participate in class. Failure to provide accurate contact information, or failure to respond to our contact attempts will result in not being able to participate in classes, and forfeiture of the class tuition.
What We'll Teach
Developing a Personal Plan & Home Protection Plan
Developing a personal & home protection plan is a key component of not only preparing for how we should (or might) react if confronted by a violent crime, but also how we might avoid violent crime in the first place. Within this lesson, Michael Martin explains that developing a protection plan is about much more than becoming proficient with a firearm or writing up a home invasion plan. It’s a plan that must encompass awareness, avoidance, and preparation, so that we’re less likely to find ourselves in a situation where we have no other option than to use our firearm, rather than more likely.
