In this course you will learn the latest and correct immediate interventions for critical trauma injuries.
Critical traumatic injuries can be rapidly fatal, before the arrival of EMS and advance care. Immediate action must be taken to preserve life by those already at the scene. This NAEMT Certified Provider Course in Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC) will give you the knowledge, the skills, and the confidence to safe your life or life of another during an active trauma emergency.
You will learn and practice these life-saving skills: - Rapid MARCH trauma assessment - Individual & Mass Casualty Incident response, triage, and rapid care of miscellaneous critical trauma - Emergency rescues - Care for traumatic hypothermia and shock - Tourniquet use and application - Haemostatic & Pressure Bandages - Occlusive chest seals - Bag Valve Mask Ventilation - Pulmonary management - Prolonged care concepts - Heat management

Instructor: Jason Ames, Ret. LASD, with 25 years of experience in law enforcement and tactical emergency management, including investigations and patrol operations. Jason is CAEMSA Certified EMT, who continues to serve as an EMT on the LASD Search and Rescue Team. Jason is also CA P.O.S.T. certified Academy and First Aid/CPR/AED/TECC Instructor and continues to provide training to the LASD Personnel. Jason is Certified NAEMT Training Coordinator, Instructor, and Provider for TECC / TECC LEO / TCCC-AC, Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support, Bleeding Control for the Injured, All Hazards Disaster Response, Geriatric Education for EMS (GEMS), and Psychological Trauma in EMS Patients courses. Jason is certified by the DHS as an Active Shooter Threat Instructor and a Tactical Medical Instructor, and is recognized by the Committee for TECC as a TECC Instructor adhering to their national TECC guidelines.

Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 72 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a refund. Stripe payment processing fee (2.9% + 0.30 cents) will be deducted from the original amount paid for the class. Classes cancelled less than 72 hours before the class will not be refunded.
