AR-15 Fundamentals

The USCCA’s AR-15 Fundamentals Training Classes are practical! This is not like the high-intensity, high-speed, fad AR-15 training you see on social media. These rifle training classes are actually focused on and effective for civilian use. The goal isn’t to train you like you’re part of an elite tactical unit, rather, this training provides instruction that builds a strong foundation for real-world self-defense regardless of experience level.

AR-15 Basics

Effective self and home defense with an AR-15 starts with a solid understanding of the essential parts, features, and functions of your rifle. You’ll also get an overview of proper cleaning and maintenance, well-suited accessories, and the basics of using an AR-15 for home defense. Start your AR-15 training here!

MINI-CLASS

AR-15 Practical Shooting Drills

Build on the critical skills taught in AR-15 Basics and AR-15 Basic Shooting Drills by understanding how to “get out of the optic”, developing an effective shot cadence, and improving your overall AR-15 shooting fundamentals. Pick up the tools you need to master recoil management, reloads, malfunction clearance, and other lifesaving skills.

MINI-CLASS

AR-15 Basics Shooting Drills

Take your training to the next level with Instructor-led range time that includes safety essentials, confirmation of zero, and use/operation of an AR-15. You will get to participate in dry-fire and live fire drills that show you proper kinesthetic alignment, a vital component of rifle shooting technique, mechanical offset, and how to properly “hold over”, along with the balance of speed and precision shooting.

MINI-CLASS

AR-15 Cognitive Shooting Drills

These classes are what’s considered the last piece of the puzzle; cognitive drills that build on AR-15 shooting fundamentals and require the use of previously developed skills for effective target transition, balance of speed and precision, and defensive accurate hits on target.

What is a MINI-CLASS?

A USCCA Mini-Class is a shorter, in-person session which is dedicated to a singular discipline. This is perfect for those who are just starting out with their training, or those who are looking for a refresher on specific topics. Mini-Classes are modules directly pulled from the USCCA's primary “Fundamentals” curriculums and taught by Certified Instructors.
