USCCA Announces Major Evolution of Industry-Leading Self-Defense Liability Insurance Member Benefit to Further Prepare Responsibly Armed Americans

Enhancements to Insurance Policy Include “Red Flag” Coverage, Increased Cost of Bail Bond Coverage, and Funds for Protecting Citizens’ Public Reputation

West Bend, WI—The U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), the largest, fastest-growing self-defense association in the country dedicated to responsible gun owners, today announced new enhancements to the self-defense liability insurance coverage all members get. Since the USCCA was founded in 2003, it has regularly worked to strengthen its membership benefits and protections based on member feedback and the latest advancements in the marketplace.

The most recent enhancements to the insurance policy include increasing bail bond coverage to $250,000, adding up to $15,000 in attorney fees and expenses to defend members facing Extreme Risk Protection Orders, otherwise known as “red flag” laws, and providing up to $5,000 in coverage to seal or expunge a member’s personal records to protect against future discrimination. Often, even when a gun owner has been adjudicated legally, they can face reputational challenges with public legal records, and this new benefit will help members address that.

“This evolution of the USCCA’s industry-leading member benefits is the latest step in advancing our mission to prepare law-abiding gun owners across the nation to be confident protectors.  With these exciting new additions, we’re meeting the evolving needs of the more than 825,000 USCCA Members who’ve trusted us to help equip them to protect themselves and their loved ones,” said Mike Lowney, President of Delta Defense, the service provider to the USCCA.

“We are especially excited that the policy provides a defense for responsible gun owners who face ‘red flag’ laws. As this misguided legislation is adopted in more states, we felt strongly about ensuring lawful gun owners can afford the due process they deserve,” Lowney concluded.
