Delta Defense Announces New Chief Information Officer

West Bend, WI | Oct 16, 2024 – Delta Defense CEO & USCCA Chairman Tim Schmidt announces the appointment of Kyle Wierenga as the company’s new Chief Information Officer (CIO), which took effect August 5, 2024.

West Bend, WI | Oct 16, 2024 – Delta Defense CEO & USCCA Chairman Tim Schmidt announces the appointment of Kyle Wierenga as the company’s new Chief Information Officer (CIO), which took effect August 5, 2024.

With over 22 years of innovation in information technology and advanced analytics and data management roles, Kyle Wierenga brings tremendous experience to his new role as Delta Defense’s CIO.

Kyle is responsible for overseeing Delta Defense’s data and technology operations, enterprise project management, and insights and analytics, and will play a significant leadership role in guiding the company’s strategy to support its long-term growth objectives.

Prior to joining Delta Defense, Kyle served as CIO of Burton Snowboards, an iconic American brand serving the recreation industry. In this role, Kyle was responsible for developing a digital-first, consumer-centric roadmap that was not only a strategic shift for Burton as a new direct-to-consumer model, but also increased internal IT flexibility and simplified maintenance.

Previous to his time with Burton, Kyle held director-level and executive leadership roles within multiple, billion-dollar consumer-goods companies like Costco and Bloomingdale’s.
