This course is essential for those who is considering carrying a defensive firearm for personal protection. The course teaches you to develop the mindset when carrying, with specific techniques such as, conflict avoidance, situational awareness, defensive firearm basics, shooting fundamentals, physiology of violent encounters, and the legal aspects of using deadly force, including the aftermath. Additionally, we will cover common equipment used for carrying a defensive handgun and other tools you can incorporate into your ongoing training. This course meets the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Minnesota Department of Public Safety guidelines as well as Florida’s application process. You will learn the different processes for each state as well as the associated fees. A Course Completion Certificate will be given after successfully completing this course. Prior knowledge or experience with a firearm is not required. The course will require a live-fire exercise for those wishing to apply for their Minnesota and Florida permit. If you already own a defensive handgun, you are encouraged to bring it for your qualification. Handguns will be available if you do not have one of your own.
The Multi-State add on is for those who have already obtained a Wisconsin permit / certificate but wish to add on additional states to their certification.
Teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude for owning and operations a pistol safely. This course is designed for those with no experience with a handgun. A great course to prepare yourself for taking the Multi-State Concealed Carry Class. This class will have a live fire range exercise. You are welcome to bring your own firearm or one will be provided for you.
Currently a one night a week for three weeks course consisting of all three levels of education.
Women's Basic Pistol course is designed to reach students who are brand new to firearms, basics and fundamentals will be introduced, reviewed, and then built upon leading you into the second phase of training, "Level 2- Intermediate Pistol."
Women's Intermediate Pistol Level 2 course digs a little deeper into topics such as types of firearms and ammunition and how firearms work. We will cover tips and tactics on selecting handguns and holsters. Level 2 is designed to introduce you to the right defensive mindset for self-defense, and challenge your skills with the goal of bringing you up to the next level. Level 2 topics, discussions, and exercises will help you better understand firearms and safe shooting so you can be more comfortable and confident with your training. Completion of Level 2 intermediate pistol will prepare you for Level 3 Women's Defensive Pistol
Women's Defensive Pistol Level 3 will continue to develop and build on fundamental shooting skills. We will add more advanced layers such as drawing and reloading techniques, shooting on the move and using cover. This course will have a slightly different focus, as we will work on developing the right mindset for self-defense with a firearm. We will leave with an understanding of how to prepare physically and mentally as well as understanding the differences between marksmanship and defensive shooting.
