It is an amazing book, that you will find yourself referencing many times in the future. I feel so strongly that my students need to ALWAYS feel comfortable and in touch with their training, that once you attend one of my classes, you are welcome to come back for a refresher any time you please, at no cost to you. This class will give students the knowledge needed to provide emergency first aid in a variety of situations. Students will learn not only medical first aid, but trauma first aid - up to and including tirage for a mass casualty incident, whether that is a mass shooting, or a natural disaster. Students will have hands-on learning as well as classroom learning. Students will also learn to create their own first aid kit based on situations in which they may find themselves. A textbook is available for the class. It is recommended, but not necessary. Books are $30 and are a good reminder of all of the concepts taught in the class.

Be prepared for traumatic emergencies - whether a natural disaster or man-made. Become a citizen trained to save others in life-or-death circumstances. Gun shot wounds, knife wounds, broken bones, head trauma, burns and more are all things you can be prepared to deal with. From applying a tourniquet or chest seal to splinting a leg or creating a pelvic sling. This intensive class will teach students what they need to know to save multiple lives in the event of a tragic mass injury scenario. Learn what life-saving devices you might want to carry in a first aid kit to be ready for anything.

The Emergency First Aid Fundamentals textbook is not required for this class, but if highly recommended. They will be available for $30 before and after class.

This is a smaller class offering from Countering the Mass Shooter Threat. Topics explored include: - Knowing the signs. - Creating an emergency operations plan for your school, house of worship or business. - Special security considerations for schools. - Special security considerations for houses of worship. - Using the Run, Hide, Fight Methodology. - When fighting back means using a firearm. - Triage and treat the wounded. - The criteria for gun free zones. - Where do we go from here? Ideally, we stop a mass shooter threat before it occurs, but just as important is knowing what to do during, and after a violent, mass casualty incident, This course will give you a basis on which we can build for your school, business, church or organization. This class starts with identifying the public threat, an understanding of what drives certain people to become a public threat and why proposed solutions simply will not prevent this behavior. Gun-free zones, the difference victim response can mean, and more is covered in this class.

The tragic fact is that only 18% of businesses open to the public have an Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP) for an active shooter situation. At the close of this class, I will be available to talk with students about their needs in their business, school or house of worship and how I can help to train their staff, students, or congregation as well as to create an EOP.
