What You'll Learn
This 8 hour class goes beyond basic firearm safety principles and shooting fundamentals to introduce you to the concepts you need for personal and home defense. Starting with understanding situational awareness, developing a personal and home protection plan, reviewing the legal use of force and what to expect in the aftermath of a violent encounter, you will have the information you need to begin your concealed carry journey. Successful completion of this course provides a certificate that can be used to submit your Virginia Concealed Carry Permit application. Cost of the class is $100.
Our mission is to provide our students with the knowledge to be competent and confident self-protectors. In addition to the knowledge shared in the classroom, we believe that you also need to have hands on experience with your gun. With beginners, we coach you on the fundamentals of shooting using SIRT pistols and the Laser Ammo Smokeless Range in the classroom. This is a low stress, low noise way to help you gain confidence.
All shooters are encouraged to sign up for a separate live fire session at a local outdoor range. This additional session will be scheduled at a later date and is at no charge to you. Every student will have an opportunity to shoot using their firearm or we can provide a .22 caliber pistol for you to use. We believe that everyone will be able to demonstrate competency and confidence with their firearm by the end of our class.
Discounts are offered to veterans, first responders A Girl and A Gun, and Armed Women of America members.
Cancellation Policy: If you cannot attend the class, we will make every effort to reschedule you in an upcoming class. Our policy is no refunds due to the expenses that we incur to reserve and rent our classroom space. Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed, and we will determine if a refund is possible.
