What You'll Learn
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals will guide you through the steps you'll need to go from just sending rounds downrange to actually training in specific, tested methods of armed self-defense. From stance to grip to physical shooting technique, Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1 will help you hone the edge on your inner warrior expert. You'll get your body working with your gun instead of against it, learn which intuitive skills work best with what your body will naturally do while under stress in a combat situation, and you'll learn to apply this information simply and effectively - regardless of your skill level.
Cancellation Policy: Payments are NON-refundable. Many of our classes have waiting lists. If a student is unable to attend on the chosen date, registration can be rescheduled once for a future date within 90 days. After that, funds are forfeited. Notification must be made 2 or more days before class start. Students that "no-show" to class without communicating with instructors beforehand will forfeit all registration fees and/or deposits. Classes with 3 or less students may be rescheduled.
What We'll Teach

Over 1 million students have taken the U.S. Concealed Carry Association’s course offerings across the nation. The Defensive Shooting Fundamentals class can be taken by anyone of any skill level. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced shooter, you will walk away from this course a better protector of yourself and your loved ones.
You will learn the concept of balancing speed and precision to begin the course, understanding your individual limits, the importance of accurate hits to target, and ability to quickly engage with a target.
Other drills may include:
- How to present from the holster
- How to perform an emergency reload
- Lateral movement
- And more
Purchasing a gun is part of the self-defense journey, but knowing how to safely and effectively use it is even more important. Education and training are critical methods to ensure students will be ready if they’re forced to use their firearms to defend themselves and their loved ones.
