What You'll Learn
This course is an 9-hr RENEWAL course, covering the Texas DPS Level 3 Commissioned Security Officer renewal requirements.
In-person class times are from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the day listed for the schedule. Renewal students are invited and encouraged to attend Day 1 of the initial course (which will be the day before the scheduled renewal course from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM) at no additional cost - just more training!
NOTE: The OPTIONAL shotgun class will start at 7:00 AM. The OPTIONAL OC/Pepper Spray class is included in the cost, and will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Individuals requiring contamination may do so during this class with pre-notice.
Cost includes both handgun (required) AND shotgun (optional) qualification. Handguns and shotguns are available for rent for $25. Ammunition is available for purchase at the NPSI training facility ($15 for a 50-round box of 9mm ammunition and/or $15 for a 9-round box of 12 Gauge OO Buck). Individuals using NPSI firearms must use NPSI ammo.
COST INCLUDES RANGE FEES.
TCOLE credit may be awarded.
Cancellation Policy: If a student must cancel, paid tuition may be credited to a future class (the same or a different one) if at least 48 hours notice of cancellation is provided (except under emergency or exigent circumstances 48 hours notice is not required).
