My Biography
Ranae Knapp is a USCCA Instructor and facilitator of the Memphis chapter of A Girl & A Gun. Though she grew up around firearms, her personal interest in training developed later in life. After a 25-year career in education, she transitioned into the firearms industry as a Media Director for a gun range, where she began taking classes to better support her role.
Her perspective on training and personal defense shifted after attending advanced courses with Tatiana Whitlock, which inspired her commitment to responsible carry and ongoing education. Since joining A Girl & A Gun, Ranae has trained alongside women of all experience levels, competed in disciplines such as Steel Challenge and IDPA, and gained a strong sense of confidence and purpose.
Ranae holds both USCCA and A Girl & A Gun instructor certifications and is dedicated to encouraging and empowering women who are beginning their own firearms and self-defense journey.
