What You'll Learn
Our CWP training course is unlike any you will see around here. We are not a CWP factory. We do not rush through training instead; we train to standards not to time! You will receive more than just classroom instruction. You will leave here feeling confident about your knowledge and your ability to safely carry your concealed weapon. If you are looking for a place to just rubber stamp your CWP than this is not your place to train or learn. This CWP Course meets and exceeds educational requirements to apply for a South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit. A 50-question written multiple-choice exam will be given at the end of the class and a 50-round qualification course will be conducted on the range. Upon successfully completing this course, you will have all the required forms and information on fingerprint for applying for a Concealed Weapons Permit in the State of South Carolina. You will also receive a course completion certificate as proof of training for further firearms training.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 1 week in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 1 week before the class will not be refunded. However, you may reschedule for a later date one time.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
(CONSIDERATION FOR NEW HAND GUN OWNERS) We recommend you take our Basic Hand Gun Course first before taking this CWP course. This course is not designed to teach someone how to shoot. Attendees must be at least 18 years of age, and not be prohibited by law from processing a firearm to submit CWP application to SLED. Range fee is a extra $25.00 to be paid in cash at the beginning of the class. It is not included in the $85.00 SC CWP course fee. Please bring a bag lunch. You also can purchase the Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals book which Retail Sales is $35.00 for only $25.00 so you can review everything you learn in this course. Lastly, we have .22 caliber pistols you can rent for an additional $20.00 cash which includes 50 rounds of 22 LR ammunition. We will need to know in advance if you need a firearm.
